Take Me In

from $110.00

This romantic bouquet only came together thanks to my local floral farmer friend, Anne. I made a series of paintings based off of her home grown tenderly loved roses (oh, and also some tulips and jasmine vines!). Sourcing flowers for my arrangements is part of the fun, though it is even more inspiring when it is from a local and a friend, someone who uses organic and sustainable farming practices. When she put together this late in the season cluster, I was in love. She, like me, loves seeing the roses at all the stages, some blown out, others just beginning to bud. It was such an organic collection - these yellow and red tulips popping out, varieties of roses I would never find elsewhere, and such a variety of sizes, as well! This one holds just a tender place for me, it feels imbued with a start to finish love affair - from when those roses were planted and cared for all those early mornings, to them arriving in my hands and becoming a bouquet to live on in this painting.
