Gold Leaf and Florals Painting Workshop

The aim of this workshop is to help you drop more quickly into your creative flow with a an approach based on both technique and intuition. Perfect for any level of artist. Each day will consist of lecture, demo, and painting. We will learn how to use gold and silver leaf, as well as arrange florals for painting compositions.

Supply List:

Your paints (oil or arcylic, whatever you typically use)

Two painting panels of small to medium size (12” x12” or 12”x16” or 16”x20” for example) .

Panels are preferred over stretched canvas for ease of hanging

Brushes, palette, paint, gamsol, and your general set up.

A traveling easel (if you have one. Otherwise we will use the wall as a surface)

Images or photographs you would like to work from

I will have available for you floral and landscape images for you to work from, as well as paints and mediums and other tools for you to experiment with. Bring what you have and I will fill in the rest!

Students are also welcome to bring a painting for Butler to critique.
